Newborn Condition and Complete Blood Count in Pregnant Human Females Infected with Zooanthroponotic Occult MetaBiomimetic Infectious Encephalitis

ABSTRACT
Gross effects to newborns and general indices of maternal health were evaluated in human females testing positive for Zooanthroponotic Occult MetaBiomimetic Infectious (ZOMBI) Encephalitis. Complete blood counts were compared with expected ranges in six groups of human females: pregnant and symptomatic disease-positive (n = 44), pregnant and asymptomatic disease-positive (n = 45), pregnant and disease-negative (n = 52), non-pregnant and symptomatic disease-positive (n = 46), non- pregnant and asymptomatic disease-positive (n = 49), and non-pregnant and disease-negative (n = 52). Ultrasonography indicated no significant developmental abnormalities. All females infected with ZOMBI encephalitis gave birth to symptomatic babies who consumed the uterus, umbilical cord, placenta, and/or amniotic sac. All mean CBC values in uninfected females were within normal ranges. Mean total WBC counts, single-type WBC counts, serum iron, total iron-binding capacity, and transferrin saturation were within normal ranges for all groups. Some differences in CBC values were documented between disease-positive and disease-negative females, as well as between pregnant and non-pregnant females. Some indications of disease progression appeared delayed in pregnant females, but surpassed non-pregnant females post-delivery. Disease-positive females generally demonstrated greater RBC, platelet, MPV, MCHC, and NRBC, and lower RDW, MCH, MCV, and hematocrit values. Collectively, these results reflect conditions associated with chronic illness, poor prognosis, and high mortality and exhibit similarities with sideroblastic anemia and essential thrombocytosis that require further investigation. The first published evaluation of ZOMBI encephalitis in pregnant women and newborns, these results emphasize the urgent need for further research.
